In 2012 I produced and directed an animated pilot for Cartoon Network APAC called Irazu. Irazu follows the adventures of geeky kid Pequita and her kooky sloth friend Irazu.
I was also involved in animation fix ups, flash & prop designer/build and background design. It was VERY close to being green lit for a series but then...*poof!* Last minute change of mind. It was produced in Australia with Canadian/New Zealand voice talent.
Here are a selection of character, background and prop design as well as some images from the very beginning of the project's conception back in 2006, which was during my honors year at university. As you can see, she originally started out in her early twenties and gradually got younger. The genre also changed.
You can watch the pilot here.
Vial of Youth was my 2005 traditionally animated graduate film, loosely based around the life of Countess Erzsebeth Bathory, with a twist.
It was the winner of the 2005 Best Animation Award at the Pacific Film and Television Commission's New Filmlmakers Award and screened at numerous 2006 animation festivals.
16th Century Hungary. Countess Erzsebeth Bathory is obsessed with her youth and determined to prolong her beauty, even if it meant others would die.
You can watch the film here.
